i have a rioddas external dvd writer drive, but it doesnt burn any dvds or cds completely, and when it stops near the end they all say that the cds are still blank, can anyone help,

1. Which software are you using to burn your data ?
2. Have you tried different software / different computer ?
3. Have you tried different brand of CDs ?

1, i have tried several burning softwares, from nero, deep burner, ashampoo, burn aware. 2, and 2 diff pcs, never had probs before, but 1 is old hence why i brought a external drive to burn with, 3,and ive tried only 1 type of dvd, but 2 types of cd, and no luck,
Does it stop at the same point every time ?
Have you tried altering the burn speed to the slowest possible ?
If you have more than one burning software on the system they could possibly conflict.
