Can someone advise me about viewing photos on a dvd player?

Tried both discs this afternoon even after finalizing (on Ashampoo) on my dads DVD player, still says photo error. i tried another disc which I had ran through google Picasso through Ashampoo and that worked fine. I can't use Piccassa anymore as that doesn't exist, is there a similar programme to picassa I could use before running through Ashampoo. This is really frustrating me as i want to be able to play my photo's on a TV, just just my PC.

My dads DVD player is a DVP-SRZ60H

I suggested putting them on a Memory stick - did you try this ? [ assuming .JPG or .PNG or similar extension ]
[ see my post #16 ]
You would need to select USB on the remote.

I don't understand this.
Can you clarify please?

DVP-SRZ60H
I can only find DVP-SR760H ................... I assume that this is the one ?

This is the detail I got from the manual ....

USB port is front right.
You would need to select "USB" from the "Display" button on the remote.

I tried it and I'm still getting the same problem.
I find this VERY odd.
You have burned a DVD with photos - you get " photo error"
You have put the photos on a Memory Stick - you get "photo error"
You have used an older DVD and this plays OK

Is all of this correct ?

If you want to see the photos on the TV there is another option - NOT using the DVD player.

You can connect your laptop direct to the TV using an HDMI lead.

If your dad has a Sky box or Free Sat box there may be an HDMI cable connecting this to the TV.
You can disconnect the cable at the Sky box [ leave connected to TV ] and use this to connect to the laptop.

A 2 metre HDMI lead costs about £7 in Tesco.

No, one thing is wrong.
You have put the photos on a Memory Stick - you get "photo error"
I never said that

I was asking where the USB might be, I haven't used a memory stick as yet. I'm autistic, so I'm often misunderstood.

I tried two discs again , even after finalising them.

Take a look at posts 24 to 28
I posted details of USB location - you thanked me for the details. and said you would try my suggestion [post 26]

Post 28 you said -
I tried it and I'm still getting the same problem.

Then you tell me you haven't used the memory stick [ post 30]

??????

==================================
Try a memory stick.

Try the HDMI cable.

Let me know the results.
